Smith Rock State Park, located in southern Oregon, is a popular destination for tourists across the US, drawing in hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. I had never heard of Smith Rock before signing up for the five day rock climbing trip, but thought it would be a fun way to see the outdoors. My expectations where quickly shattered upon arrival as I was struck in awe at Smith Rock's incredible natural beauty. The cliff face stood erect like magnificent castle towers, fraught with detail and drama. The river lay in the valley below, its bends and curves giving a sort of serenity to the landscape. The trails were endless, the people countless, and the opportunities for exploration never ending. While I had originally planned on taking a few videos for the family back home, my motives quickly shifted into an intense need to capture the adventure, and all the beauty and new found friendship that followed.
